A Young Woman Hurtling Through Her Twenties Decided to Put Her Memories into Words

Time flies by and things keep changing in her busy world

She is afraid one day she’ll wake up having forgotten all that has passed

These experiences, emotions, both good and bad, she believes will always last

They have shaped her to be who she is today

She wants a way to celebrate her yesterday

So she wrote them into poems to someday piece together the clues

Now that you are here, dear stranger, would you like to journey with her too?

Disclaimer: Before starting this blog, the last time I dabbled in creative writing was back in middle school.

So, I would love to hear your thoughts, or any feedback.

Two Truths and a Lie

In her short 21 years of life she had never before seen someone try jump off a bridge It wasn’t even a tall bridge over a not so busy road

Lessons from the Wise

You refuse to fall asleep without me next to you Stroking your Teletubby nose to the nearby lullaby Playing over the theme song of emperor

Love

You looked a bit fragile on Tuesday morning I had a premonition at work that you would flounder today And when I arrived, I was right

Yin – Yang

Scrutinize closely and you will see the achromatic colours in motion

If Daddy Can, Then So Can I

Something not too daring, or self-destructive I’m looking for a distraction from Wait… I’ve got it!
